Echo Locate game alerts by text: terms & privacy

What the texts are

Echo Locate sends automated game alerts to coaches, team managers and scorers who ask for them: pitch-count updates (each new rest-day level and the daily limit), a warning when a pitcher’s strike rate drops, and a short summary at the end of each inning. Texts come from the Echo Locate alerts number on behalf of your team.

How you sign up

Texts only go to people who sign up themselves. In the Echo Locate app (the coach live view, or the Pod tab for scorers), you enter your name and mobile number and tick a box agreeing to receive alerts by text. You get a welcome text confirming you’re signed up.

The Echo Locate text alert sign-up: name, mobile number, and a consent checkbox reading: I agree to receive automated game alerts from Echo Locate by text at this number. Msg and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
The text sign-up in the app, exactly as people first see it: the consent box starts unchecked, and texts are only sent after the person types their own number, checks the box and taps “Text me alerts.”

How many texts

Message frequency varies with your team’s schedule: usually 10–20 texts on a game day and none on days without games. Message and data rates may apply.

Stopping texts and getting help

Reply STOP to any alert to stop all texts right away. Reply HELP for help. You can also tap “Stop texts” in the app. To start again, reply START or sign up again in the app.

Privacy

Your mobile number is used only to send the game alerts you asked for. We do not sell, rent or share mobile numbers or text opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or any other purpose. Numbers are stored securely, and only the last four digits are shown to your team’s scorer.
