Echo Locate Privacy Policy

Effective October 21, 2026

Echo Locate (“Echo Locate,” “we,” “us”) is a pitch-charting and reporting service for baseball and softball teams, operated by Matt Green as a sole proprietorship in California. This policy explains what we collect through echolocate.team and the Echo Locate web app, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Team information. Team names, logos, scorer and coach passcodes (stored only in scrambled, one-way “hashed” form), and settings such as game length and pitch-count age group.

Game and pitching data. What your team’s scorers enter: pitcher names, opponent names and jersey numbers, pitch types, locations and results, runs, and game dates. Reports and season stats are built from this data.

Registration and contact details. When you register a team or contact us: your name, email, phone number, role, team, league and location.

Alert sign-ups. If you turn on game alerts: the name you enter, your phone’s notification token, and, for text alerts, your mobile number with the consent you agreed to and when.

Technical information. An anonymous sign-in ID for your device, and settings saved in your browser so the app remembers your team. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run ads.

How we use it

To run the service: chart games, produce reports and stats, show coaches the live game view, send the alerts you asked for, set up and support your team, and keep the service secure. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Your team. Data is shared with people who have your team’s passcodes. If your scorer posts reports to the team reports page, anyone with that private link can view them.

Service providers that run parts of Echo Locate for us, only to provide the service: Supabase (database and file storage), Netlify (website hosting and forms), Twilio (text messages), Apple and Google (push notifications), and Google Fonts (typefaces).

Echo Locate support. If your team asks us for help, such as matching a game to GameChanger, and gives permission in the app, Echo Locate support can open your team to make those changes. Every support visit is logged.

Text messaging. Mobile numbers and text opt-in data are never sold, rented or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Legal reasons. If required by law, or to protect the safety of users or the service.

Young players

Players are often minors. Echo Locate is used by adult team staff and parents, not by children, and is not directed to children under 13. We collect only what a team enters to chart games (typically a player’s name and pitching stats). A parent or guardian can ask us to correct or delete their child’s information at any time.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep team data while the team uses Echo Locate. Scorers can delete games and posted reports in the app. To delete a whole team, or any personal information, email us and we’ll do it within 30 days, except where we must keep something by law.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections, access is limited to your team’s members, and passcodes are stored hashed. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your passcodes private.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, turn off alerts in the app, and reply STOP to stop texts. California residents have these rights under California law, and we will not treat you differently for using them.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and post the new version here. Questions or requests: support@echolocate.team.
